Hello everyone.
I
would like to introduce about my hometown.
I
was born and raised in the capital city of japan, Tokyo. But my father is from
Okinawa. So I would to introduce about Okinawa to you all.
Do
you know anything about Okinawa? Okinawa is a wonderful place and my adopted
hometown.
Okinawa is a remote island from archipelago
and was Japan’s closest foreign country until 1972. Before that, it was occupied
by America. As it is now, American base is 10 % of all over Okinawa prefecture.
So, many Americans live in this place and American culture is still left.
By the way, do you know that Okinawa is
also most popular touristic spot?
Okinawa has world’s beautiful ocean! The water
of this ocean is so clear.
I
think the best season to enjoy the ocean is during the summer. You can enjoy
swimming in the ocean at day time and taste variety of fish delicacies. In the
evening, During night, you can have dinner
while gazing at the beautiful ocean.
Next, I would like to introduce you about
some local foods in Okinawa. “Okinawa soba” is the most major food in Okinawa
and Local people eat it very often. Okinawa noodle is made up of flour and the soup is of a light
taste. I like this unique taste very much.
“Goya Chanpuru” is also major food in Okinawa.
“Goya” is a bitter gourd and it is traditional summer vegetable of Okinawa.
“Chanpru” means fried food in the Okinawa dialect. So, it is fried Goya and
eggs and pokes. Those who don’t like bitter taste may not like this food. Local
children eat it with relish, they love Goya chanpuru.
If you visit Okinawa, please taste these
foods!
I like the local atmosphere of Okinawa. So
I recommend you to visit Okinawa if you stay in japan!
Thank you for your reading.
